Social Entrepreneurs 2008 Awards – Vizitant launched

The Social Entrepreneurs Ireland 2008 Awards were held tonight at the Cultivate Centre in Dublin’s Temple Bar, where CEO Seán Coughlan (pictured) finished formalities with a wondeful quote from the great Leonardo da Vinci, which I’d certainly never heard before –
"I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do."

It’s a real honour to be a level 1 awardee, to be joining such a wonderful network of entrepreneurs and a joy to officially launch Vizitant – my little project aiming to employ teleconferencing technology to reduce the loneliness experienced by socially marginalized groups in Ireland.

Interesting! as in ‘When the going gets tough, the tough goes Social’.
While ‘Social arbitrage’ existed all long as human existence, now we have technology at our disposal to do something about it.
Wish you tremendous success in your initiatives.

  2. James Corbett Says:

Thank you very much Balaji – it’s a long road a head but I’m tremendously excited and passionate about this project.
